It was so good to see everyone at the first live session for GCP #19 Christmas Time is Here on Saturday! If you missed it - or want to watch again - here is a link to the recording:

We talked about lots of things: from harmonics to pizzicato technique to chords and everything in between. And we played through both parts 1 and 4 of our arrangement. There were a lot of questions and some tangents! And it was especially great to meet some new cellists too - Welcome to the GCP! |

Ok, team, so check it out.
I've decided to organize this project a bit different than most of the other ones – and for the better in almost every way!
2 songs, 2 videos!
You can record and upload your performances of these 2 songs whenever is good for you. Same as before, 3 claps to sync. UPLOAD them as you finish them. Its a little extra alignment on my end, but I think it will be best for the project.

Backing tracks are coming soon, and my goal is to turn the uploader on next week. oh! Many of you have asked about the arranging process - so I thought why not just document it! I'll be hosting the full arranging experience on our next few livestreams. We will start each livestream with a play-through of 'Christmas Time is Here', and a brief Q&A, and then I will start arranging. Keep in mind, this is an experiment, and we will see how it goes. I'm hoping to be finished with the arrangement and backing tracks by Wednesday or Thursday. And keep in mind, the session will be more like the Facebook style editing sessions many of you will be familiar with, where you can watch what I am doing, and follow me through the process from concept – to writing – to recording – to rewriting – to rinse and repeat. These sessions could be quite looooooong, so please feel free to check in and out as you like.
