Hi Project #17 Cello friends!!
I am so excited to be working on this amazing piece with y’all!!
THE FIRST LIVE TUTORIAL SESSION!!!
Time: Tuesday, January 25th at 10.30am CST (16.30 GMT)
Here is a countdown timer: https://howlongagogo.com/
Here is the Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/
This first session will be a general overview of the project, an introduction to the piece, with lots of time for Q&A, and a playthrough of which part which gets the most votes! It’s a chance to catch up and begin working on this amazing together. I hope you will all join me… and as always the recording of the session will be available to catch up on or to watch again at your leisure.
I hope by now you have visited the project web page here: https://globalcelloproject.
You should be able to get everything you need from there, and this page will be added to as we go along. Please email us at admin@globalcelloproject.com if you can’t access the links for the sheet music or practice backing tracks.
I’ve heard a small percentage of you are having an issue loading the webpage. If you are still, could you please send me a screenshot if you are so I can troubleshoot?
The ERRATA section of the web page is now live - so have a look and see if there are any for your part! The sheet music in the folder will be updated as the errata are incorporated. Let us know if you spot anything to correct!
The official backing tracks will be ready very soon. I am recording some useful vocal cues to remind us of the dynamics, and you will be hearing me calling out all the rehearsal numbers so that you don't get lost in the rests. And as usual I am doing the part specific tracks too so that you will be able to hear each of the parts clearly. I didn't want to release the official backing tracks until they are perfect. :)
Hope your practice is going well and excited to see you soon!! Bring your cellos and your questions!
Cello love from,
Tony
