Hi Project #17 Cello friends!!

It was so good to see y’all on our second live hangout practice session! Some great questions and discussion - thank you!! Part 7 got the most votes from the participants so that was the focus for the playthrough. I also demonstrated how the green screen works and we had a go with a sample video to see how effective it is - the result: the brighter green your screen is and the better lit it is, the better end result I can get! If this is your first (or even second) GCP experience, it can feel like there is a lot to learn! And it can seem that everyone’s an expert - but please believe me when I say that we have learnt all of this together, through trial and error, and now we have some experience, there are a lot of wonderful cellists in our community to help!! Please don’t hesitate to ask questions, and share your experiences. As I said yesterday, I will move mountains and do my very best to help you on your way, and get your video in the final production! There have been a couple of updates since last email. There are now fingered parts available!  Follow your original email to access your files and you will see the fingered parts inside a new folder.  If you are unable to access the links for the sheet music or practice backing tracks, please email us at admin@globalcelloproject.com .

AND I hope one of the biggest problems is now solved–access to the WEBSITE.  You’ll never know it, but yesterday our web and email changed to a new host provider.  I have heard very positive results from some of you who were having troubles. Please email and let us know if you are still having issues.  Make sure you “refresh” your page (Alt+F4 on windows and cmd+R on mac).  Thank you everyone for all for your help in troubleshooting this!

There are a couple more ERRATA on the web page from the last few days - so please have a look and see if there are any for your part! The sheet music in the folder will be updated as the errata are incorporated. Let us know if you spot anything to correct!

OFFICIAL BACKING TRACKS will start to appear on the project page starting today. There is a full mix right now ready to go, and they will start to trickle in.

AND THAT MEANS WE ARE ALMOST READY TO RECEIVE YOUR VIDEO… upload form coming soon.
